“Transition team” wastes tax money. a perfect example of our government’s insatiable thirst for uneccsessary spending.
Wait…you mean to tell me that after the Iraq war big business thrives in the region due to oil and arms trading? Business is mired in bureaucratic red tape making it difficult for locals or others to do business? Violence and bombings still threaten the stability and security of the region? NO WAY! I would NEVER believe that.

Raise your hand if you feel like the fiscal cliff talking point is being crammed down your throat, and up your ass. Yep. That’s not just a feeling, it’s reality. A citizenry divided over which group pays a higher percentage of tax is incompatible with one that demands responsible spending and accounting, and opposes excessive taxation.
How can it be that RAISING tax rates is the only solution to every financial “crisis” this nation faces? The debate is never about “do we need more money?” That part is skipped right over. It’s simply “where is the money going to come from?”
There are plenty of things to demand from your government, but don’t demand that some other group “pay their fair share.” NOTHING is fair about ANYONE handing over their earned income to pay off the debt of others.
Is Iceland the model for economic recovery?
Does this translate to a larger country, and more diverse economy? Who knows? What I take from this article is that economic recovery comes from a concerted effort to attack the problem, rather than partisan politics hindering progress.
